Phenomenal service. My AC guys I recommend to everyone. 5 quotes from other companies that said I had to replace my whole $15k HVAC + ductwork system and these guys were the only ones to tell me they could figure out how to set me right with some repairs to the system I already had. They're smart and good at what they do and always go the extra mile. The best!!

Recent work in Greenville

  • Fixed a mis-plumbed secondary drain line, off Meyers Court, Greenville, SC. Found the secondary drain on the main pan wasn't installed right and hadn't been plugged, so water was dripping out where it shouldn't. On top of that, the secondary pan under the unit wasn't capped, which let water in that pan run straight onto the ceiling below. We corrected the drain setup and capped the pan so water goes where it's supposed to instead of into the ceiling.
  • Topped off refrigerant on an aging R-22 system, off Verdun Avenue, Greenville, SC. This Goodman system was low on charge and not cooling like it should. We hooked up gauges and found the pressures well below where they needed to be. Added a pound of R-22 and the system came back up to proper operation, cooling normally again. That said, this unit has a refrigerant leak somewhere in the system, so this fix is a temporary one. R-22 is an older refrigerant that's being phased out, and repeated topping off isn't a long-term solution. System replacement recommended
  • Replaced a failed capacitor to restore cooling, off Mary Street, Greenville, SC. This system had stopped cooling, and a check of the outdoor unit found the problem: a failed 35/5 µF capacitor. That part is what gets the compressor and fan motor started, so once it fails the system can't run. We swapped in a new capacitor, then checked the compressor and fan motor amp draws against their rated loads, inspected the contactor, and checked the refrigerant pressures. Everything came back within spec. Cooling was restored and the system was left running properly.
  • Replaced a failed capacitor on a Lennox condenser, off Old Augusta Road, Greenville, SC. The upstairs system had stopped cooling, and the outdoor unit checked out with a bad 35/5 dual run capacitor. That part gives the compressor and fan the jolt they need to start up, so once it fails the unit either won't start or struggles to run. We swapped in a new capacitor and confirmed the system was pulling proper charge and pressures afterward. It's back up and cooling normally.
